CHARACTERS

 X              

This story’s protagonist. A member of the 17th Elite Unit, he is a gentle Maverick Hunter. Because of his kindness he is unable to fully commit in battle and is only B-Class in Hunter rank. However, his potential surpasses that of a Special A-Class.

 DOCTOR CAIN       

The creator of Reploids, this elderly man is called the century’s greatest scientist by many. His greatest masterpiece “Sigma” caused an uprising, which continues to pain him to this day. But even so, he commands the Maverick Hunters for the sake of peace.

 ZERO            

X’s mentor and friend, a Special A-Class Hunter in the 17th Elite Unit. Always composed and unwavering in his thoughts against evil, he made a prompt decision to stand with X against Sigma the moment he rebelled.

 SIGMA            

Dr. Cain’s masterpiece, the 17th Elite Unit Commander who is said to be the greatest. Also holding great intellect, one day he suddenly rose in revolution against humanity and those who sided with them.

 VILE             

A former member of the 17th Elite Unit. His battle prowess is extraordinarily high, but because he was a hair’s breadth from becoming a Maverick, they restrained him. However, he was freed due to Sigma’s uprising and thereafter trained in secret to become strong enough to defeat X.

 THE EIGHT MAVERICKS  

Eight former Special A-Class Maverick Hunters who, due to their desires and beliefs, became Maverick out of their own will and joined Sigma’s uprising. These powerful enemies stand in X’s way with various special weapons and power befitting their class.
